Not only is today ELECTION Day, but it is also our last MUSIC-ONLY rehearsal before we begin staging the show next Tues. If you plan to perform on the Dec 9th show, it really is imperative to attend as many prep sessions (rehearsals) as possible from here on out.

I know you have been enjoying the new LEARNING TRACKS for Mary's Boy Child. Tracks are by Rhett Roberts, a young recording engineer we had not used before. Let us know what you think! This song must be OFF-PAPER by 11/21, so please listen repeatedly and learn quickly. Debut is at the 11/26 Interfaith Concert.

You will receive a newly-edited chart TONIGHT for Light One Candle Please bring your old music tonight, so that we can recycle all old charts; we don’t want multiple versions out and about.

Thanks so much for a successful performance last Sat at the Veteran's Fair at the HMC. After a few minor tuning problems, with SSB, we were off to the races with emotional renditions of the Armed Forces Medley, and GBA. Thanks to those who manned our HH booth and spread the word about our 12/9 Circus Show!.

NOTE: As you know, our 12/9 show will be moved out of Hunterdon Central HS due to the damage there; Christian is working VERY hard to set up the replacement venue, which should be finalized end of this week. Stay tuned!

Below, I've created a chart with a composite view of all of the Holiday Songs in both the 12/9 and the 12/13 (Library) shows, along with OFF-PAPER dates. I'll also attach this as a file for you, in case you want to print it off.

Immediate-term chorus events (Nov) include:
1. Marine Core Ball THIS Sat., 11/11/17. Meet NO LATER THAN 6:15pm at the Venue. Note the LOCATION is the Raritan Valley Country Club (not the Elks). Uniform is Black pants/shoes, Blue HH shirt; Patriotic Tie (same as the Veteran's Fair last Sat). Event begins at 7pm, and we will sing: GBA, SSB, and Navy/Marines Hymn.
AFTERWARD (7:30pm to 8:30pm) I will stay and offer a MUSIC-Only rehearsal on our Holiday Music trouble-spots. Plan to stay for the hour if you are able.

2. Interfaith Advent Concert (Joyeux Noel) on Sun after Thanksgiving (11/26). Meet 4pm for warmup; Event begins 5:00pm, and lasts ~2 hours (including A-glow). This is at the ICC (Immaculate Conception Church) in Annandale, as usual. Uniform is Black pants/shoes, white shirt, black sparkle vest/bowtie. We sing Mary's Boy Child and Hallelujah. Also Hallelujah Chorus at the end with all choirs.
NOTE: There are two (optional) upcoming joint rehearsals for the Hallelujah Chorus, as follows; try to attend at least one, if you need a brush up on this piece:
a). Sun 11/12 5:00pm (for an hour) at the LDS chapel: 9 Red School House Rd, Lebanon, NJ 08833.
b). Sun 11/19 4:00pm (for 45 min or so) at the ICC: 316 Old Allerton Rd, Annandale, NJ 08801.

TONIGHT we'll continue to rehearse our show material, including spending significant time on our two most-challenging pieces: Join the Circus OFF-Paper TONIGHT, and Mary's Boy Child (our final new song).

1. Make 'Em Laugh - OFF-PAPER NOW. beginning at Chorus 2.
2. Mary's Boy Child - We'll drill the entire song and test you on the memorization process. Off-Paper 11/21.
3. I've Been Working on the RR - Once thru tonight. This is for the 12/9 Circus Show.
4. Light One Candle – With guitar. Newly edited chart tonight! Rusty will review roadmap. Off-Paer 11/14.
5. Join the Circus - Stomp tempo - Basses must keep a solid Metronome beat. Off-Paper TONIGHT.
6. White Christmas - Off paper now. The chorus WILL sing the optional Key Change. Quartet will sing the verse.
7. Christmas is Coming - This is the first part of the VM Carol Medley. To be used at the Library gig. ..
8. It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas - Off-paper by next week (11/14). Ensemble on interlude.
9. Jingle Bell Rock . This is for the Library Gig. We'll review the staging tonight.
10. Do You Hear What I Hear This is for the Library Gig, and also post-Interfaith A-glow.
11. Carol of the Bells - Once thru tonight. This is for the Library Gig.
11. Silent Night - Once thru tonight. This is for the Library Gig.

Tonight we'll also again review the transition from Anchors Aweigh to Marine's Hymn for this Saturday night. That is, starting from a Bb chord: The baris move from F to G to Ab, while the Basses UP from Bb to F on the baris' second move; Leads/Tenor no note change).
