8-15 Chapter Meeting

    This week, we will have some guests from Ridge HS in Basking Ridge, who will also plan to sing us a song or two as our Program for the evening. Why not bring a GUEST of your own this week?  (And then bring them along to the HH 8/27 picnic as well!).

    This week, we will continue to introduce new material that will be used in our Holiday Show, "Santa Saves the Circus". 
    1. Make 'Em Laugh!  The LEARNING TRACKS are already up on our website. Take a few listens prior to our next rehearsal.  (No need to focus on the Intro at this point). You will receive a paper copy of the music this coming Tues, but the chart is also viewable on the Members Only.
    2.  Ringmaster's Lament - LEARNING TRACKS are up.  Please have this one OFF-PAPER on 8/29 (Two weeks from Tues).
    3.  Hippopotamus - We've had this one awhile now. OFF-PAPER this Tues 8/15, please.  We will debut this at our Sept Craft Fair shows to help promote our Dec show.
    4. We Wish You - This was new for RSS last year, and is coming along well.  OFF-PAPER on 8/22 (1 week from this Tuesday).

    For THIS WEEK, we'll also focus on some of our repertoire that will be part of the Craft Fair shows on Sep 16-17th, such as:
    1. Good Day/ Wonderful Day
    2. Do You Hear the People Sing
    3. Hallelujah
    4. Cohan Medley
    5. Armed Forces     (if time)

    Next week (8/22) we will schedule Section Rehearsals, with a focus on "Make 'Em Laugh".

    PS - Plan to attend our (always FUN) HH picnic, this year scheduled for Sunday, Aug 27th from 2pm until 10pm at the home of Don and Cathi Reckenbeil (408 W. County Drive, Branchburg). Feel free to bring friends who like to sing and may be thinking about visiting us!  Sign up on for the EVENT on our website. Chapter provides burgers, dogs, punch and sodas; you can bring something to share with all (salad, side, dessert, beer, etc.)
